Born into a musical family, Stephen C. Zimmer began his musical studies
at a young age with his mother, an accomplished pianist, as his first teacher.
Later he continued his instruction with Dr. Werz, who is in direct teaching
lineage from Beethoven to Czerny to Liszt.Stephen has performed throughout
the United States, Europe and Canada, including television performances. He
was invited into the Masters Program at CSUF and was invited by acclaimed
pianist, Biljana Urban, for Master class piano, Lectures, and Concerts at
FraMozart Music Academy, Hvar Island (Croatia) in September
2012.Stephen is also an acclaimed singer. Amongst his many awards are first
prizes at the National Association of Teachers of Singing in San Francisco,
East Bay Opera League,Fresno Musical Society Competition, as well as many
scholarships and awards.He has been Tenor soloist with Masterworks Chorale, Notre Dame Opera, Berkeley
Opera, Livermore Valley opera, and David Opera. He has sung leading roles in Musical/Dramatic Theatre
including. The Student Prince (best actor award), Diary of Anne Franck (best supporting actor as Peter). He
has studied under the masterful direction of the famous Alma Michelini, Maria Greco, and Blanche Thebom.
In addition he is a recording artist with Studio West, Signature Sound and Highland Studios. Stephen has
prepared vocalists/performers for "American Idol" auditions in San Francisco.
