Soprano, Taylor Carnes is currently studying vocal performance at
California State University Stanislaus. Taylor has been seen in performances
across the Central Valley with companies including Townsend Opera, Stockton
Civic Theatre, Modesto Performing Arts, That's Showbiz Theatre Company,
and Modesto Symphony Orchestra Chorus. She was last seen in a school
production of scenes from Marriage of Figaro as Barbarina. Previous roles
include, Second Woman in Dido and Aeneus, Patty Simcox in Grease, and
Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors. Other shows performed include Sweeney
Todd, Carmen, La Traviata, Madame Butterfly, The Mikado, and The King
and I.  Carnes has been a recipient of the Kristina Townsend Vocal Memorial
Scholarship, the Kathe Underwood Vocal Memorial Competition, and has won
a National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Award. She is currently
working as an intern for Townsend Opera. Taylor has previously studied under
University of Pacific professor, Dr. Lynelle Wiens. She is currently studying
with CSU Stanislaus professor, Dr. Joseph Wiggett."
